Los Altos seniors Caitlyn Sun and Dyani Meza take on the role of ASB President and Vice President, working hard to plan and carry out endless amounts of lunch activities, rallies, conquer crazies, and more so all Los Altos Students feel included in the things they love the most. Caitlyn and Dyani represent Los Altos ASB and are lead role models for not just underclassmen but upperclassmen as well.
“It’s always been a goal of mine to be ASB President as a high school senior,” said Caitlyn. “I’ve worked in leadership roles since I was in the 6th grade becoming Vice President in the 7th grade and President in the 8th Grade.”
Caitlyn Sun wants to study ophthalmology and attend UCLA, “Since Elementary i’ve always wanted to go to UCLA since it’s the best UC I always remind myself to stay on task to reach that goal.” said Caitlyn.
Since the 6th grade, Dyani Meza has worked tirelessly to make a difference in student leadership programs, “I went to Temple Academy for elementary and Sparks for middle school, they both helped me prepare for my high school leadership positions by having me in the important role of vice president in the 6th grade and continuing on my student body representative path.” said Dyani.
In High School, Dyani Meza has pushed to further improve Los Altos High, but also improve her own learning and team-building skills by focusing on many extracurricular activities including cheer, dance, honors and advanced preparatory classes, and more. Dyani Meza aspires to study at Cal State Fullerton, and major in nursing and pre-medical to pursue her interest in helping others.
“I believe I’m a good fit for ASB vice president because I’m able to communicate with not just our ASB president Caitlyn, but as well as the rest of our group,” said Dyani. “I believe in someone they aren’t scared to come over and talk to whenever in need.”
