Los Altos High School received new equipment, including clocks, bells, Wi-Fi, and new phones. The HLPUSD techs installed and set up equipment during spring break.
The change in the bell pitch immediately caught the attention of students. The bells have been adjusted to have a deeper pitch and tones.
“I saw all of the new changes in our school, but the first thing I noticed was definitely the bell,” said sophomore Achilles Guerra.
Each classroom received modernized clocks that are digital for everyone to see. The new clocks clearly display the time, seconds, and date.
Another technological advancement HLPUSD installed was Atlas Cisco VOIP speakers which allows students to hear announcements clearly. The internet protocol attached to these speakers allow students to easily access wifi.
Additionally, an upgrade of security cameras throughout campus has been installed for the safety of students. These cameras have been installed outside of school and in the parking lots to monitor visitors during school hours.
