The streaming platform HBO has now made available 2 episodes form the second season of the Harry Potter baking show, this series first episode was first released on November 21 of 2024. The series is a competition of baking, based on desserts, mainly cakes with the creativity from the magical world of Harry Potter. The first seasons of the series have 6 episodes and the second season will have 6 as well, they all have different characteristic names from scenes or objects that represent the Harry Potter saga.
The series are unique because the twins James and Oliver Phelps, who played the characters of Fred and George Weasley in the Harry Potter films are the hosts of the show which made the series more entertaining and close with the actual vibe from the movies to the audience. The judges of the program are the professional chefs Carla Hall and Jozef Youssef, and the participants are chosen for being involved and related in the world of baking.
The winners of the first season were the team of Zoe Burmester and Jordan Pilarski, they won with a six-foot-tall showpiece inspired by the Great Hall in the Harry Potter movies, which was praised for its delicious flavor and wonderful achievement of creativity in its piece inspired by the magical world, and in recognition of their accomplishments they won the first ever wizards of baking cup.
The viewer of the program Doris Torres said, “ The best thing about the series is the designs in the cakes, I like the theme of Harry Potter because I have seen shows like this one but this stands out because of the inspirations the participants have, I think since Harry Potter its something many people know and like its amazing that they create a program based on this to attract the Harry Potter fans.”
There are many different reasons for why the different shows that are out there to entertain the audience are liked by some and not too much by others. For example the theme, the characters, the people participating and the plot of the show.
“I think the cakes have really impressed me, the ones I like the most are the cakes that move, I think the movie its magic on its own and many people have seen it around the world, so the fact that they just say Harry Potter it will attract many people to see it,” Said Torres “ The thing I like the most in the series and competition is the imagination participant have to create all this magic and beautiful cakes, I also really like the creations and the tips they give when they are baking so you know hot to do things at home as well.”
The purpose of this new season on the show is to keep attracting new fans and have a new experience in the Harry Potter Wizardling Show.
The senior Maddie said, “ I think this baking show stands out form others because its based form Harry Potter movies so it brings all that comes with it, the wizards, magic and also hogwarts, The most impressive thing for me about the participants is the time they have and how they set to certain people to do some activities.”
This show stands out because of the Hogwarts Magic world it brings again to the audiences form a different perspective all around different communities.
“I think the Weasley twins being the hosts of the program makes it stand out and bring and energetic and magical vibe to the series, I also think it was cool they are the ones doing it because they have their own candy shopping in the movies so it correlates with the vibe and theme of the show.” Maddie said. “ The cake I liked the most was the Hogwarts castle because it looked beautiful and was well put together. I feel this show brings out the wizard side of fans since the theme and inspiration of the series is the magical world of Harry Potter. I would like to see more series like this baking competition inspired by marvel movies and Hunger Games.”
