Fans from the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots will be cheering for the SuperBowl 60, at the Levi Stadium, home to the 49ers. The Super Bowl contains both champions of the AFC and NFC, deciding who will go to the SuperBowl 60.
The NFC championship occurred in Seattle Seahawks stadium, Lumen Field with the teams being LA Rams and Seattle Seahawks. Both coming from the same division, the NFC west.
Ariana Duarte, a sophomore at Los Altos said “I rooted for the Seattle Seahawks.”
Inside of the Lumen field there was a grand audience of 70,000 in the stadiums, with upwards to millions of fans watching the NFC championship at home. With fans cheering from Los Angeles, Seattle, and around the country, anticipating who will go to the Super Bowl.
In the 1st quarter, Seattle scored a touchdown earning them 6 points, with J.Myers scoring an extra point. The LA Rams’ H.Mevis scored them 3 points with his 44 yard field goal attempt.
Although the LA Rams were catching up to the Seattle Seahawks, J.Myers earned them 3 points, with a 27 yard field goal attempt. Ending the 1st quarter to LA Rams with 3 points and Seattle Seahawks with 10 points.
In the 2nd quarter H.Mevis made a total of 3 points for the LA, scoring a 50 yard field goal attempt. The LA Rams started leading again with 13 points in total, with K. Williams scoring a 9 yard touchdown.
Duarte said “I didn’t doubt the Seahawks losing since we have a great defense team, they always win championships.”
The Seattle Seahawks were losing by 3 points, but K. Smith-Njigba scored them a 14 yard touchdown. Ending the 2nd quarter with the Seahawks leading by 4 points.
The 3rd quarter was highly anticipated, with both teams scoring multiple touchdowns. Seattle Seahawks J.Bobo earned them another touchdown beating the LA rams by 11 points.
The LA Rams were catching up, with D. Adams scoring a touchdown, creating a close tie between the teams. The Seattle Seahawks did not give up, with them scoring another touchdown by C. Kupp, ending them off with a total of 31 points.
The LA Rams did score another touchdown, with their own P.Nacua for 34 yards. Although the LA Rams were losing, there was still another quarter to make a comeback.
However, that did not happen for the LA Rams, with multiple frustrated fans seeing their team getting flagged down. Ending off the game with 27-31, with the Seattle Seahawks going to the Super Bowl 60 against the New England Patriots with both Green Day and Bad Bunny performing.
Durate said “I feel great about the Seattle Seahawks winning, I’m excited for the Super Bowl.”
The AFC championship occurred in Denver Broncos stadium, Empower Field with the teams being Denver Broncos and the New England Patriots. Occurring in the snowy conditions of Colorado.
In the 1st quarter, the Denver Broncos scored 7 points, with a touchdown made by Sutton, scoring them 6 points. With Lutz earning them an extra point with a field goal.
The New England Patriots did not earn a point in the 1st quarter, but that would soon change in the 2nd and 3rd quarter.
The New England Patriots were able to earn 7 points, with Maye rushing for 6 yards, ending up in the end zone. Allowing for the New England Patriots to earn 6 points.
Borregales was able to score them a field goal. Allowing for the New England Patriots to be at 7 points.
In the 3rd quarter, Borregales made a field goal of 23 yards. Allowing them to lead in 10 points.
Durate said “I saw how the Patriots played in this game, so for Super Bowl 60 I didn’t doubt my team.”
In the 4th quarter, neither team was able to score any points. With the New England Patriots going to the Super Bowl 60.
Durate said after the Super Bowl 60 “Honestly the game was boring but I was still excited since my team came out on top and bad bunny had a great halftime show.”
